Realtor® Team wins ‘Business of the Year’ Award

Greater Jordan-Elbridge Chamber of Commerce honors
Crocker Team from HUNT Real Estate ERA

Syracuse, NY – Bill and Sharon Crocker, the Crocker Team, have been awarded the 2009 “Business of the Year” by the Greater Jordan-Elbridge Chamber of Commerce.  The Crockers were chosen to receive this award because of their dedication to their local community, always willing to donate time and money to Jordan-Elbridge activities and various community projects.  The husband and wife team has been in real estate for over 20 years and residents of the Jordan Elbridge area for 38 years.  The Crockers have consistently been earning top producer real estate awards while still finding time to get involved in their community.

“There are numerous companies that contribute within the Jordan-Elbridge community.  Receiving this award for 2009 is a great accomplishment.  It takes strong dedication and hard work to participate in local activities and committees throughout the year,” said Bill Crocker, Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with Buffalo-based HUNT Real Estate ERA.

Both Bill and Sharon, former teachers in the Jordan Elbridge School District, appreciate what the community had to offer while raising their children.  To give back, they sponsor youth sports and serve on several committee organizations.

A celebratory dinner was held on May 27, 2009 at the Inn Between Restaurant in Camillus to honor the award recipients.  With a large number of local Jordan-Elbridge businesses in attendance, the atmosphere was prideful and festive of the Crocker’s accomplishments.  Presenting the award to the Crocker Team was a member of the Board of Directors from the Jordan-Elbridge Chamber of Business.  Also in attendance and lending support to their fellow cohorts were Chris Teelin, Branch Leader of the West Regional Office and Dan Hartnett, General Manager of the Syracuse Region -- both of HUNT Real Estate ERA.

When asked about the local real estate market conditions and recent housing market trends, the Crockers attributed the still-thriving market to “great interest rates, realistic sellers and motivated buyers.”  The Crockers also highlight the importance of consumers becoming educated about the housing market in the community where they want to live in.  Their knowledge of the area and involvement in the community give the Crocker Team an edge when educating the public and bringing buyers and sellers together.
